My name is [Javascript protected]. I'm a systems engineer living in southern Germany. As a professional I'm currently working on projects where distributed hard- and software needs to be integrated and interfaced, data to be crunched and results presented in a friendly way to the person sitting in-front of the screen.
While doing so, I learned a lot about distributed computing, separating tasks into independent, smaller applications and running them as containers using Docker.
In my spare time I've always been interested in processing text data lying around in the internet, writing my own web crawler in python, doing natural language processing or using databases as searchable storages.
With this site I want to share my experiences and provide information about what did work for me and what did not. It's made up with the idea of a café in mind, where you never know who you gonna meet and which topics of interest you'll pitch.
